Christmas Mass Information
Advent and Christmas Mass Obligations
This is a very special year since Christmas falls on a Monday. On the weekend of December 23-24, we will celebrate the Fourth Sunday of Advent, wear purple, and light the last candle of the Advent wreath. This is our final opportunity to prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ on Christmas! We will have our regular Mass schedule that morning at 7 a.m., 9 a.m., and 11 a.m.
Then, beginning that same afternoon, Catholics may celebrate the Solemnity of Christmas any time after 4 p.m. December 24 Mass times at St. Charles include the Family Mass at 4 p.m., followed by 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. On Christmas Day, Masses are at 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. We will be blessed by the offerings of many music ministers, including Cantors, Choirs, and special instrumentalists. Come early to get a good seat and enjoy the many prelude concerts. We hope you will come join us as we celebrate our last Christmas in our current church!
