Mass-Related Questions


1. When can I attend Weekend Mass?
You are invited to attend our weekend Masses, offered at the same times as before: Saturdays at 5pm and Sundays at 7am, 9am, 11am, and 6pm.

2. When can I attend Daily Mass?
Daily Masses are offered Monday through Saturday at 8:30am. Join us!

3. Can I still livestream Mass?
Absolutely! We are livestreaming all of our Masses, daily and weekend.

4. Is the Archbishop extending the dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass?
Yes, the Archbishop has decided to extend the dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass through September 6th. We’d encourage those who are well and feel comfortable, however, to return to Mass as soon as you are able. We’d love to have you back.

5. Do I need a ticket to attend Mass? 
Tickets are no longer needed to attend Mass.

On weekends, we will have seating available in the church,  Borromeo Room and/or Parish Hall.

6. Are masks required? What if I don’t have a mask?
Yes, masks are now required for all Masses. If you do not have a mask, we will provide one for you. Please be mindful that when wearing your mask to cover both your nose and mouth.

7. What should I expect at Mass?
Masses will look a little bit different as we continue to follow guidelines from the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. To learn more about what to expect at Mass, please read through our list of procedures.

8. May I receive Communion on the tongue?
In addition to receiving Holy Communion in your hands, the Archbishop has allowed Holy Communion to once again be received on the tongue. The Eucharistic minister will be in the center aisle for those who choose to receive on the tongue. The minister will sanitize his hand after distributing to each person.

9. Is Little Lambs childcare available during Mass?
Childcare is currently not available during our Masses. We will let you know when it is being offered again.

10. What should I do if my infant/child gets fussy during Mass?
You are able to leave church to calm your infant or child. We ask that you comfort your child in the hallway and return to your seat as soon as you are able.

11. May I take Communion home to distribute to friends, family, etc.? You are unable to take Communion with you at this time. Please talk to one of the priests with any questions regarding taking Communion home.

12. Are priests available after Mass?
Our priests will be on the front porch after Mass has ended. We do ask that all attendees depart as soon as possible so that we can sanitize the church prior to the next Mass. Thank you for your cooperation!

13. Are paper bulletins being distributed at Mass?
Yes, only ushers wearing masks and gloves while keeping as much social distance as possible will distribute bulletins upon exit. You may also access our bulletin electronically on our website's homepage.

14. Now that tickets are no longer required, does that affect other requirements?
Even though we are no longer requiring tickets for Mass, we are still observing all social distancing protocols and Covid-appropriate cleaning standards.

The Church, Borromeo Room and Parish Hall will remain at 25% seating capacity for a total of 280 seats available per Mass. Every other pew in the church will be left empty, and chairs will be spaced accordingly allowing for the minimum six-foot social distancing guideline. Parishioners are asked to be patient and flexible in following the ushers directions and maintain social distancing when entering and exiting the parish. Masks are required at all Masses.

Other Questions


1. Are parish offices open?
Yes, we have a limited number of staff in our parish office at this time. Please contact us Monday-Friday from 8am to 4pm at 262-367-0800 with any questions you may have.

2. Am I able to come into the church to pray?
Yes, come and spend time with our Lord! The church is open for private prayer Monday thru Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm, and on Saturdays from 7:00am to 2:00pm. Morning Prayer is in the church at 7:30am Monday through Friday, and at 8:00am on Saturdays. Also the Rosary is prayed Monday through Fridays at 8:00am in the church

3. Can I still receive Reconciliation? Can I arrange it with a priest?
Reconciliation is available on Thursday evenings starting at 5pm. Please contact the Parish Office at 262-367-0800 to set up an appointment with Fr. Ken or Fr. Nick if you are unavailable on Thursday evenings.

4. Is Eucharistic Adoration being held?
Yes, Eucharistic Adoration will be held every Friday during private prayer from 9:15am to 3:30pm. Benediction and closing will be held at 3pm. 

Beginning Monday, on July 20th, Monday Evening Eucharistic Adoration will be in the Chapel from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Beginning Tuesday, on July 21st, Tuesday Evening Eucharistic Adoration will be in the Chapel from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. Masks are required.

5. Am I able to schedule or attend a baptism, wedding, or funeral?
Yes! Please contact our Parish Office at 262-367-0800 if you would like to schedule a baptism, wedding, or funeral. Please note, though, that there may be restrictions in terms of how many people can attend these events. Currently we may seat the same number of people as our Masses, which is about 170 people in the church, with and additional 110 seats available in the Borromeo Room and Parish Hall. Additional family and guests may also participate via livestream on our website.

6. Is there anything I can do to help St. Charles?
There are a variety of ways you can help us! First and foremost we ask for your prayers. We are still accepting weekly offerings via the mail and drop-offs. You can also donate through E-giving on our website. If you are interested in helping local families in need, you are able to drop off non-perishable food items or monetary donations for St. Vincent de Paul in the Parish drop slot in the foyer as well. Open foyer hours are Monday-Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm.

7. Is the Cornerstone Project still on schedule?
Like so many initiatives in our community and across the country, our Cornerstone building project has been postponed to help keep everyone as safe as possible during this pandemic. We hope to break ground in the Fall of 2020. While we know this delay causes some frustration, our committees and staff see this as an opportunity to review each aspect of the construction and look for areas to improve our efficiency that will hopefully result in some savings.
