Outreach Services Team
Thank you for your interest in volunteering to serve others. Because of the Corona Virus, many of our Outreach programs have been suspended or altered significantly. We are in contact with our various organizations with whom we partner with here in Hartland and our surrounding community. It is crucial that the homeless, low income and elderly recipients of our services continue to receive the support they need. We update this page of the St. Charles Parish website weekly. Please see the home page of the St. Charles site for daily updates on cancellations. I keep our Outreach Service Group updated by communicating through email. If you would like to be added to that messaging system, please send your email address to email@example.com. Or call Terri directly with any questions you may have about our organization and it's activities.
St. Charles Outreach Services Team ministers to both local Wisconsin communities and abroad, organizing events and programs that bring together volunteers of all ages to engage in projects that better the living, learning, and general condition of all! Through events such as the monthly Bread of Life Community Meal, the seasonal gift and clothing drives, and grander projects such as funding and building a new chapel for the church community of La Sagrada Familia in the Dominican Republic, there are many ways to become involved. For more information about specific events or to become involved, please contact Terri Blazek, Outreach Services Team Chairperson, at 262-367-7608.
Opportunities to become involved as a volunteer to help those of the St. Charles Parish community include becoming involved in ministries such as the Meals to the Homebound, the Hospitality Ministry, or by volunteering at seasonal church events such as Fall Fest. For more information about service opportunities in St. Charles Parish, refer to the Stewardship under Serve Christ.

Men's Shelter Meals
During the Corona Virus Outbreak, there is a much greater need of assistance. We have increased our partnership role with this program serving men who are homeless in the Waukesha County area. The Siena House is a men's shelter offering them a hot meal, shower and a place to sleep. They are in a “locked-down” situation currently and are unable to travel to other meal sites. Our aid will be in the form of providing breakfast, lunch and dinner meals that are dropped off in the morning at the shelter. If you would like to donate meal items please register below.
Ronald McDonald House Lunch-to-go Program
Our meals program has been cancelled at this time. If you wish to support this organization they suggested grocery store gift cards are helpful. Purchase from our Scrip program and St. Charles earns a portion of your purchase too. Please send them to our St. Charles Outreach Coordinator for this program and she will get them to Ronald McDonald House.

Summer Lunch Meals
The Summer Lunch Program is supported by St. Vincent de Paul conferences during the summer for children in Saratoga Park, located in the Saratoga Elementary School District, who participate in the Waukesha School District's free and reduced breakfast and lunch programs during the school year. This program was created to provide a nutritious meal for children in this area of the city during the summer months when these programs are not available.
Last year the Outreach Services Team joined this worthwhile and fun activity. We are excited to join in again and help by providing the lunches, taking them to Waukesha and distributing them to children and parents Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday the week of July 21st. The place is Waukesha Stem Academy Saratoga Park Campus, 130 Walton Ave (enter the parking lot from College Ave). We will carpool from St. Charles to the park at 11 am and return by 1:30. If you are driving yourself, please note in the comment section when signing up. Any questions please contact Terri at 262-367-7608.

Archdiocesan 175th Anniversary
The Outreach Team appreciates all who donated products for the Archdiocesan 175th Anniversary Care Bundles project, as well as helped to assemble them Monday night. We had 3 carloads of product! And we had over a dozen parishioners join in the bundling event at St. Jerome's. We can not put into words how amazed and humbled we are at the efforts from the many St. Charles parishioners who went shopping for these items. The bundles were delivered to Catholic Charities Tuesday morning for distribution to their clients. Thank you so very much!
